Drake Birthday Party, Toronto

When Drake contacted me about planning his birthday party I quickly made a list of my best ideas I had ever had, and made sure to come up with something much much better. I had been speaking with the team at OVO for months about collaborating on something special and when October rolled around, Drake’s birthday seemed like the most perfect way to kick off our ongoing Collaborations. After chatting about his favorite foods, what he wanted to see, and what he most certainly wanted to avoid I knew I had to balance his requests while still making sure there were enough surprises to blow him away. Mission accomplished – Drake told me over dinner a few days later that it was the best party he’s had to date and coming from a guy who has famously said he’s on a “24 hour champagne diet” that is saying something. Speaking of champagne, we worked with our friends at MOET to make sure we had everything we needed for the bar. The most amazing Susur Lee menu was enjoyed in custom OVO bento boxes and complimented with printed OVO chairs and personalized OVO chopsticks. There was no question who this party was for.
