THE WEEKND x GQ Grammy Party
We had the pleasure of planning and designing GQ’s Grammy party which also celebrated the birthdays of one of my friends, The Weeknd. Abel won 2 Grammy’s so it was definitely cause for a huge celebration. The private party was held at a mansion in Beverly Hills and didn’t stop until 4:30 AM. Diplo, Skrillex and A-Trak provided the music for the evening and the celebrity guestlist included Justin Bieber, P. Diddy, Travis Scott, Zendaya, DJ Khaled, Juicy J, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Belly, Machine Gun Kelly, Bella Hadid, Stephen Hill, Jamie Foxx – to name a few. I had to take one of my favorite elements from one of The Weeknd’s music videos and park it (upside down) at the entrance of the party. We took the same model, make, and year car that was featured in “The Hills” video, — we flipped it, smashed it, and made it look like it was on fire right at the front door. Some of the other design elements we custom created for this party were a massive XO created in metal and sunk to the bottom of the swimming pool. We also had a 30 foot GQ Black and White neon created to illuminate the entire space.
Congratulations to all my Grammy-nominated friends today. Fingers crossed…

Circus Themed Party Editorial
Quite possibly one of my most favorite designs, this circus themed party editorial blended child-like whimsical elements with a playful bridal look and everything that sparkles in between. I can see this colorful design working for a birthday party, baby shower, a fantasy filled summer soirée, or a unique wedding theme for a couple who likes to get creative and keep things different. I wanted to create something without any traditional wedding elements that was so beautifully detailed that adults and children alike could appreciate it. We sourced really rare elements like the old carousel horses, but also blended new elements in that can be readily sourced today, like the anthropologie plates. (Link to plates below like we do with the clothes). I’ve had event planners and designers all over the world reference this piece from my portfolio when they reach out to me so it makes me so thrilled to know that so many people who saw it, thought it was as special as I did. I even had a client ask to frame images from this editorial in their children’s play room. So, if I had to choose one event of mine that I felt had crossed the most design borders, aesthetics, and applications, this would likely have to be the one.
