I wanted to post some photos of Zarine + George’s gorgeous wedding at Steamwhistle Brewery in Toronto. I love that we opted out of a traditional wedding cake in exchange for a cookie buffet made by the groom’s family. This adorable little Sunday wedding was one of my favorites this year! Tracy and Matt are truly one of the sweetest couples I have ever met and I had such an amazing team! Complete with traditional Persian ceremony and knife dance, this wedding was not only gorgeous, but fun! It all took place at the always wonderful Auberge du Pommier, http://www.oliverbonacini.com/Auberge-du-Pommier.aspx, Flowers were by Bloom, http://www.bloomtheflowercompany.com/, and as well as planning, I also created Tracy’s hair and makeup looks during the day and again in the evening! a giant thank-you to the super talented Mango Studios for these photos. www.mangostudios.com As always, they such a gorgeous job on these and i really do recommend them to everyone looking for a talented photo studio.

I had the most amazing time working with Sue and Andrea on their outdoor summer wedding! The tented reception was held at a Golf Club just North of the City and during the daytime the natural sunlight made every photo that much prettier. In the evening we got a bit of rain but the sheer gorgeousness of this pastel pink fresh fete was enough to make everyone forget about the gloomy weather. Susan was glowing and looked absolutely stunning which made my job a breeze when it came to doing her hair and makeup that day. These gorgeous photos were taken by Kevin Lam http://www.kevinlamphoto.com/ and the video was all done by the absolutely fabulous Still Motion Photo + Cinema. http://www.stillmotion.ca/ When I first asked for Susan’s wedding wish list she told me that she wanted a same day edit that would make her guests cry. Still Motion, as always, made the most gorgeous video a bride (and her wedding planner) could ever hope for! These 2 were one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with! They sent our contact to their friends Cecille + Ryan whose wedding we planned only a few weeks later. (photos of that to come) I LOVED bumping into them and catching up at another wedding! I could literally spend hours chatting with Sue + Andrea. Imagine my excitement when they told me they added another to their happy family – Nutella!

When I first met Kathy about wedding planning, I immediately thought she was the most adorably excited bride-to be. Then I met her fiance, Abdul, and was of course equally impressed by how kind and sweet and considerate he was. Their wedding was nothing short of ENTERTAINING! From the very beginning, they had a focus on giving their guests a memorable and FUN experience, and I think we really accomplished that at their wedding reception. I feel so lucky to have worked with them on such a fabulous day!
The night started off with a video message from both the bride and groom to their guests recounting their engagement story, how they fell in love, and other funny anecdotes about one another. The reception continued with lots of music – both from the Afghan culture and from the Thai-Laos culture. Both cultures were also represented in the dinner menu, dessert, and of course – the entertainment!! The night was sprinkled with performances from Brazilian dancers AND the super entertaining SGPD – Check out this video of them dancing on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRw6IN4LLPk ! 2010 was a year of firsts for us at Melissa Andre – Celebrate.Beauty. We left our PCs for MACs… We moved to an adorable little penthouse with an amazing view of the CN Tower… and we planned and designed our first Monday wedding
When Miriam first contacted me about her May 24th wedding I immediately knew it would be a match made in planner/bride heaven. We would meet for the best planning power lunches on king street and trade wedding advice for legal advice (Miriam of course being a lawyer). Monica was married in December 2009 and I had the honour of being part of her beautiful wedding day. People always ask me how they can pull off the perfect red lip – well, THIS is how! She looks like Snow White before the poison apple situtation!
Monica’s intimate ceremony was the best way to kick off the holiday season and on TOP of being one of the most gorgeous brides I have ever had the pleasure of working with – she is the sweetest!

I could honestly gush FOREVER about this bride and her family. Katarina and her 2 GORGEOUS sisters and mom were an absolute dream come true to work with. From her Oscar De La Renta wedding gown to her bouquet of Orchids, roses, and Peonies there was nothing at this wedding that was less than perfect. Katarina is also a super talented cake maker so i’m sure i’ll be blogging about that part of this beautiful bride’s life soon enough! I first met Carly at her King west town home and we quickly bonded over Michael Jackson videos and the idea of the birdcage veil. we looked through photos of her sister Cam’s beach wedding and talked through the details of hers!
Spending the day in Muskoka with this colourful and beautiful bridal party was the perfect way to spend a Saturday in August and this is definitely a bride I love to keep in touch with! Of course we had to create a hair and makeup look as gorgeous as the dress Carly chose to compliment the venue! I created a hair and makeup look that did the same!

Working with Leanne on her wedding day was an absolute dream. Our first meeting at her apartment in the beaches went on for hours as we bonded over Disney princess hair, our favourite shampoo, allergic reactions, the colour blue, and naturally, her wedding! Every single detail of this wedding was handled to perfection, including the wedding day hair and makeup!
